2001 Honda Civic - The best-selling small car in the United States has a new design with a roomier interior and styling that resembles that of its big brother, the Accord. Power for all models now comes from 1.7-liter four-cylinder engines, which replace 1.6-liter engines. Also new to the lineup is an LX coupe model.

Four-door sedan and two-door coupe body styles of the front-drive Civic return, but the two-door hatchback is gone. The roomier interior moves the 2001 Civic up to the compact class from subcompact, according to the EPA’s yardstick.

Bought it brand new. Took in every 10000. Brakes have been done three times. Just spent 3000.00 replacing bushings and bearings and timing belt etc that I was told needed to be done. Car is 9 years old. Now the paint is coming off. Honda says that doesnt happen to cars of my color (blue) however I have now seen others same make and model and color with the same problem. I find it hard to believe that the paint would be coming off. Now my car looks horrible.

FUEL ECONOMY (CTY/HWY) : 28/35 mpg
CAR TYPE : Coupe
TRANSMISSION : 5-speed Manual
ENGINE TYPE : Gas
TOTAL SEATING : 5
CYLINDERS : Inline 4
